Sometimes you need an update. You might need space for the kids, a flat for granny or a well-deserved parents retreat. At Robson Constructions we have experience with renovations and additions to all kinds of houses – old and new.
A good example of our additions service is a house tucked away in leafy Seven Hills. The owners loved its modest post-war simplicity and classic mid-century lines but it was just too small for three kids, dog, cat and granny. We worked with the owners and a building designer to create a plan that would extend out and under the house resulting in more than twice the original floor space.
The addition provided the family with a dining room, large deck with city views, rumpus room, two bedrooms and a large bathroom/laundry.
Style was important with this project too. The client had specific requirements to keep the new part of the house true to the original mid-century design. So complimentary materials including white painted timber windows and doors were used throughout. The result? It’s clean, classic and eminently liveable.
